What is mineral makeup?

Mineral powder makeup is made up of crushed minerals from the earth. It is free of dyes, preservatives, talc, waxes, fragrances and other chemicals that could irritate your skin. How do I wear mineral makeup?

Three simple steps: swirl, tap and buff. Swirl a small amount of powder with either an Application Brush for lighter coverage or a Kabuki Brush for fuller coverage. Tap off excess. Buff onto face starting from outer cheeks and working your way inwards. Less powder is more in this case.

Revlon cosmetics is a great drugstore brand of makeup. It’s reasonably priced and the varieties are endless. For the summer they have 6 new products. I found wearing Revlon products last longer, don’t smudge or irritate and accentuates my beauty. Here are some favorite products I would recommend.

• Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick – This product is to die for! It’s super great. It’s food-proof, kiss-proof, and stays on for up to 12 hours. You only need one coat so a little goes a long way. I like Perfect Peony.
• Revlon Nail Enamel Fruitful Temptations – Another new product this summer, these fruitful temptations nail polish smells fruity when dry. I love them and they smell great. There’s coconut crush, mad about mango, pretty in papaya, sublime strawberry, raspberry rapture, mon cherry, passionate fruit, not so blue-berry. Yum!
• Colorstay Mineral Finishing Powder – This is a great light weight product for the summer. It sets in your makeup and it comes in three colors: brighten, suntan matte, and sunkiss. Just apply in a circular motion.
• Revlon Beyond Natural Cream to Powder Eye Shadow – This is a great day wear eye shadow. Four come in a compact. It’s a top fav of min.

Finding the right mascara can be tricky and hard to find. But Maybelline has made it simpler by introducing the new Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara. This mascara is simply the best mascara there is.

The Colossal Volum’ Express Mascara comes in black or brown and has a cool yellow container. The wand is fat and chunky so that your lashes has added volume. It will create 9x more volume than other mascaras. It will also plump up each eyelash and give you a no clump dramatic look. This mascara is also super easy to take off, unlike other mascaras out there. One swipe and it’s gone.

I give this mascara a 10 out of 10. I use it everyday. I can make my eyes look good for day time and then slather it one for a nighttime look. It’s perfect for any time of the day.

A popular cheap brand of makeup is E.L.F. makeup, or EyesLipsFace. What’s so great is that they are only $1 each! Amazing.

Claimed to accentuate your face and not hide it, E.L.F. makeup is quality makeup. Here are some items that you must get and try for yourself -

1. Duo Eyeshadow – A favorite color is Mocha Swirl and Black Licorice. All are highly pigmented which means you only need a little to get a dramatic effect. They are easy to remove with makeup remover.
2. Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 – These sweet smelling glossy lip gloss are to die for. Try Angel, Iced Latte, and Juiced Berry.
3. Mineral Glow – This will add a sun kissed look to your face. Put on the contours of your cheeks, forehead and chin. Mineral makeup is a great choice when choosing your makeup. Give it a try.

MAC makeup is such a great brand. Their powders are superb and their makeup brushes are perfect. Even though they are little pricey they are definitely worth every cent.

One of my favorite products is MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. If you have oily skin or red blotchy skin, this product will cure that once and for all. It comes in a cute little black sleek compact and it is in a matte finish. It’s good as a full coverage and will absorb oil all day. Even though it’s full coverage it feels light and airy.
